Biography & Profile
My full name is
Julio Héctor Molina Muscará
.
I make that note because I sign my work that's published in non-Spanish countries as
Julio Molina-Muscara
(without the accent and with a hyphen in between my two last names). And sometimes just as "Julio."
I was born in
Cordoba
,
Argentina
on December 5, 1969, coincidently the same B-day that of
Walt Disney
, who I consider one of the greats.
I've drawn since I was a kid; I love doing it but I've mostly done it as a hobby.
As per my education in art, it includes correspondence courses from
Continental Schools
and
Joe Kubert
, how-to-draw books, lots of practice of course, and watching the work of the pros I admire.
One of my first professional artist jobs came in 2004 for the comic book strip "
Johnny Go Pro
", written by American writer
Frank Shaskus
. I designed the characters and drew several strips; one of them came out in an anthology with creator names like
Stan Lee
.
I've worked on several other comics projects, among which "
Omega Chase
" stands out. It tells the adventures of
Mack Baron
, a man who knows who he is but doesn't know where (nor when) he's supposed to be. Written by New York writer (and friend)
Keith Dallas
, it's published in the United States by
Th3rd World Studios
, the same from "Stuff of Legend". Keith and I are co-creators of Omega Chase.
Other art ventures include my "
Incredible Hulk Fan Webcomic
" which I published in my
Incredible Hulk Library website
My artwork has been published in the United States and Argentina.
One of my dreams is to produce for big publishers like Marvel Comics.
